Construction site security is predominately a team effort, requiring input and commitment from several stakeholders, ranging from the Security Service Provider (SSP), the Construction or Development Company, right down to the labourer and/or subcontractor.
Good construction site security should adopt a “layers of security” approach to securing the site. This approach, utilises multiple effectively managed security measures i.e., monitored CCTV, fencing, lighting, signage, lock-up procedures, etc., to reduce the potential for loss or damage at the construction site.
